The Effect We Want It To Have

Before we started filming our thriller the question came to me, what effect do we want the opening to have on the audience? Well it is a thriller so we want the audience to feel the suspense right from the start. When we watched the documentry it said 'a good opening must make the audience feel like they don't know enough yet, at the same time to make sure that they don't know too little, this is good because if they know too much they wont to watch it and know whats going to happen so it gets boring in only a matter of time'. However if they know too little they will lose interest saying they do not want to watch it no more. This is what we tried to apply during our opening sequence.
